The service
Is this a nurse or a medical service?
No. Sakha is medication-management coordination with pharmacist oversight, not medical treatment. Our coordinators sort and deliver the week's medicines, do a pill-count, record observations (and vitals on Premium), and keep your doctor and our pharmacist in the loop. They do not diagnose, prescribe, or administer medicines.
What if my parent refuses help?
Common, and we are trained for it. We start light and build trust: a fixed weekly window, the same coordinator where we can, and we work through you rather than around your parent. If they stay resistant, we tell you honestly instead of forcing it.
How do the medicines get delivered, and who pays for them?
Medicines are sourced from licensed partner pharmacies in your parent's name, sorted by day and time, and delivered weekly as a two-box swap. They are billed separately at printed price (MRP). Sakha adds no margin on medicine.
Can you arrange my parent's other services: nurse, blood tests, physio?
Yes, it is included on both plans. Tell us what your parent uses or needs (home nurse, blood test, physio, home ECG) and we book it, remind the household, confirm it happened, and send the report to you and, if you like, their doctor. You choose the provider: your own, or one from our vetted network. We coordinate and make sure it happens; we do not run the service or vouch for its quality, and we never interpret results; anything flagged goes straight to the doctor. You pay the provider directly; Sakha adds no margin. Would you like someone there in person? That is the appointment companion: one visit a month on Premium, per visit otherwise.
Can the whole family stay in the loop?
Yes. Updates are consent-scoped: you decide who in the family receives what, and you can change it any time.
Safety & trust
What happens in a night emergency?
For any medical emergency, call 102 or an ambulance first. We put a trained person by their side and coordinate; we are not a hospital. On Standard, support and SOS coordination run 8am–8pm (we can call an ambulance and alert you). On Premium, we watch overnight, 24/7, with our own dispatch prioritised.
Who actually comes to my parent's home?
A trained coordinator we have interviewed, ID-checked and background-verified, then trained on our protocols with shadowed first visits. You get their name and photo before every visit, deliveries are OTP-verified at the door, and it is the same coordinator each week wherever possible.
How is my parent's data handled?
Sakha is a Data Fiduciary under India's DPDP Act, 2023. At onboarding we take digital, per-category consent that sets exactly who in the family sees what. Every report and message is consent-scoped, and we share only the minimum necessary with the pharmacy. You control the scope and can change it.
Money & getting started
Can I cancel? Is there a lock-in?
Billing is monthly and pro-rated, with no long contract. The one-time onboarding fee is non-refundable (setup is done up front); your box and device deposits are refunded on exit, minus any damage beyond fair wear.
